Finding Forgiveness Is A Return to Love
Why is it that so many believe that forgiving someone is a sign of weakness? I believe that forgiving someone that has hurt, or angered you shows tremendous courage and strength!
As a young girl I loved show tunes…every Sunday after church my grandmother, would always turn on the stereo and we would listen to songs from Broadway shows.
One of my favorites to this day is, Love is a many splendored thing! The lyrics to this beautiful song are as relevant today as it was when it was released in 1955 and the song explains why forgiveness is your way to return to love!
“Love is a many splendored thing, it’s the April rose that only grows in the early spring…Love is natures way of giving a reason to be living the golden crown that makes a man a king.”
Love is the many splendored thing! Love is how GOD expresses the GOD-self in you! And as hard as this may be to embrace sometimes, it is your most natural way of expression. Fear, anger, and hurt are the ego’s way of moving you away from GOD. Un-Forgiveness is the emotional energy that removes the natural order of love that is you and creates the dis-order and spread of dis-ease.
It’s the April rose that only grows in the early spring. This means that only through the seeds of love do you emerge from the darkness into the light!
Love is natures way of giving a reason to be living…means that love is the most natural state of your being, and since only love is real it removes the illusion of doubt and fear and allows you to return to love by co-creating with the Lord GOD of you being!
GOD never abandons or forsakes you; you abandon and forsake GOD when you embrace the pain of your past or when you take that pain into your future… The good news is that GOD waits for you without judgment or condemnation. When you return to love you return to GOD!
The golden crown that makes a man (woman a queen) a king. This golden crown is the light of love that surrounds you, the love of GOD that enfolds you, the power of GOD that protects you and the presence of GOD that watches over you. This is the golden crown that connects the mind, spirit, and body. The golden energy that works in concert co-creating in harmony with the oneness of GOD.
Marianne Williamson has a beautiful quote from a Return to Love that says, “Until you have seen someone’s darkness, you don’t really know who they are. Until you have forgiven someone’s darkness, you don’t really know (who you are) or what love is.”
Forgiveness is the gift you give yourself, Love is the gift GOD gives back-atcha!
